Il combine deux actions bien sp\u00e9cifiques. Premi\u00e8rement, le proc\u00e9d\u00e9 <strong>modifie les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s chimiques du substrat<\/strong> gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des agents chimiques. Dans le m\u00eame temps, des <strong>particules abrasives tr\u00e8s \u00e9labor\u00e9es<\/strong> op\u00e8rent un traitement m\u00e9canique.<\/p>\n<h3>Propri\u00e9t\u00e9s du proc\u00e9d\u00e9 CMP<\/h3>\n<p>Les experts recommandent le polissage m\u00e9cano-chimique pour les applications tr\u00e8s exigeantes telles que le polissage des semiconducteurs. Les dispositifs de stockage sont souvent produits par d\u00e9p\u00f4t de couches successives. Ces diff\u00e9rentes couches sont ultra fines et se doivent d&rsquo;\u00eatre parfaitement planes avec une <strong>qualit\u00e9 de surface<\/strong> irr\u00e9prochable. Il existe plusieurs moyens de mesurer la qualit\u00e9 de surface, comme par exemple le \u00ab\u00a0Peak-to-Valley\u00a0\u00bb (litt\u00e9ralement \u00ab\u00a0du sommet au creux\u00a0\u00bb). En effet, le PV mesure le delta de hauteur entre le point le plus haut et le point le plus bas de la surface polie. Les toutes derni\u00e8res technologies de semiconducteurs requi\u00e8rent un PV <strong>en dessous de l&rsquo;Angstrom <\/strong>(10<sup>-10 <\/sup>m).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Utilisation rapide <\/strong>: le CMP est un proc\u00e9d\u00e9 multi-\u00e9tapes, relatives \u00e0 la multitude de substrats \u00e0 polir.
