Une \u00e9tude r\u00e9cente, intitul\u00e9e <a href=\"https:\/\/media.suub.uni-bremen.de\/bitstream\/elib\/8226\/3\/Almeida%20et%20al_Enhancing%20thermal%20stability_2022_accepted-version.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00ab\u00a0Enhancing Thermal Stability of Oxide Ceramic Matrix Composites via Matrix Doping,\u00a0\u00bb<\/a> (Am\u00e9lioration de la stabilit\u00e9 thermique des CMC Ox\/Ox via le dopage de la matrice), a explor\u00e9 des moyens de surmonter ce probl\u00e8me.<\/p>\n<p>Baikowski\u00ae a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9tude avec s<strong>a poudre d&rsquo;alumine BA15 de haute puret\u00e9,<\/strong> s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9e pour sa distribution granulom\u00e9trique (d\u2085\u2080 = 120 nm) et sa puret\u00e9 chimique exceptionnelle. Des tests SEM, WDX et de r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la traction ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9s pour \u00e9valuer les impacts microstructuraux et m\u00e9caniques du dopage.<\/p>\n<h2>Performance de la CMC avec l&rsquo;alumine dop\u00e9e de Baikowski<\/h2>\n<h3>R\u00e9sultats microstructuraux :<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Les composites dop\u00e9s et non dop\u00e9s pr\u00e9sentaient des microstructures initiales similaires avec des grains \u00e9quiaxes uniformes.<\/li>\n<li>L&rsquo;exposition thermique a induit une croissance des grains dans les deux \u00e9chantillons, mais les composites dop\u00e9s au MgO pr\u00e9sentaient des grains plus petits et beaucoup moins de grains anormaux, en particulier pr\u00e8s des r\u00e9gions des fibres.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Interactions :<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>L&rsquo;analyse WDX a montr\u00e9 que le silicium (Si), qui fait partie des fibres Nextel 610, se diffuse vers l&rsquo;ext\u00e9rieur en direction de la matrice apr\u00e8s l&rsquo;exposition \u00e0 la chaleur, tandis que le magn\u00e9sium (Mg) de la matrice se diffuse l\u00e9g\u00e8rement dans les fibres. Cette interaction a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 supprimer le grossissement excessif des grains dans les composites dop\u00e9s au MgO, conduisant \u00e0 des grains plus petits par rapport aux \u00e9chantillons non dop\u00e9s, ainsi qu&rsquo; \u00e0 une distribution de taille des grains plus \u00e9troite, ce qui a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 limiter\u00a0 la perte de r\u00e9sistance apr\u00e8s les traitements thermiques.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Performances m\u00e9caniques :<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Les deux types de composites avaient une r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la traction comparable (~135 MPa) \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9tat brut.<\/li>\n<li>Apr\u00e8s traitement thermique, les composites dop\u00e9s au MgO ont conserv\u00e9 une r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la traction plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e, avec des r\u00e9ductions de 8% \u00e0 1300\u00b0C et de 41% \u00e0 1400\u00b0C, par rapport \u00e0 des r\u00e9ductions de 27% et 62% pour les \u00e9chantillons non dop\u00e9s.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Cette \u00e9tude a bien mis en \u00e9vidence les avantages du dopage de la matrice pour <strong>l&rsquo;am\u00e9lioration de la stabilit\u00e9 thermique des CMCs Ox\/Ox<\/strong>, en particulier avec l&rsquo;alumine de haute puret\u00e9 de Baikowski\u00ae dop\u00e9e au MgO.
